Iran’s ‘Wood’ to vie at Vaasa Wildlife Festival

Iran’s short film ‘Wood’ is to compete at the Vaasa Wildlife Festival in Finland.

Iran’s short film ‘Wood’, directed by Yasin Zohrabi, is set to compete at the Vaasa Wildlife Festival in Finland.

‘Wood’ will take part in the festival’s Animations category.

“People cut down trees and turn them into products. These products unite and execute humans,” a synopsis for the film reads.

Earlier reports said Iranian films ‘The Crow’, ‘Heaven’, ‘No Substitute’, ‘The Song of a Little Owl’, ‘The Roots’, ‘Karun’, ‘Coexist’ and ‘Echo’ will also participate in the Finnish event.

The Vaasa Wildlife Festival is an international nature film festival. It was founded in 2002.

The gala screens works themed on climate change, people's relationship with nature and conservation.

The 11th edition of the festival will kick off on September 28 and run until October 2.
